Ms. Thompson is a child of God and a faithful member of the Fairview Baptist Church. She is the mother of 5 children Thomas, Tara, Tanyae, Tiffany, and Tamyra. Also, the proud grandmother of Trevon, Malek, Maraya, Thomas ll, and Tahj.

Ms. Thompson has an Associates in Criminal Justice, Bachelors in Corrections/Criminal Justice, Bachelors in Organizational Leadership and Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. Ms. Thompson is currently under supervision for License Professional Counselor (LPC).
​
Ms. Thompson is the Western Region Commissioner for the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., Prison Ministry, Prison Ministry Director for the Oklahoma Baptist State Convention, Prison Ministry Director for the East Zion District Women and Prison Ministry Director for Fairview Baptist Church.
She is also Executive Director for “Working Together for Change Ministries, Inc. (non profit 501c3 organization). Ms Thompson is a co-founder of the National organization “All of Us or None”. Ms. Thompson is a volunteer coordinator for the Dept. of Corrections. Ms Thompson is a member of the Advisory Board for Clara Waters Community Correctional Center (CWCCC) and Kate Bernard Community Correctional Center (KBCCC). She is also a member of the Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections Advisory Council on Volunteer Services & Programs and the Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections Advisory Council on Offender Religious Rights & Practices.

Ms. Thompson is very active in the community to help those who have felonies, incarcerated, formerly incarcerated and their families. Ms. Thompson works to assist with prevention, intervention, stability, and aftercare. Ms. Thompson is works with the Angel Tree Program to help children whose parents are incarcerated.
​
Ms. Thompson is an advocate to help educate those who have a felony conviction(s) understand their rights to register and vote. She provides presentations, literature and workshops to distribute this information to churches, organizations and the community. Ms. Thompson is active in the legislative process to help ensure our community is informed on bills that help and/or hurt our community.

Ms. Thompson has received several awards including “Model Prison Ministry Award” from the National Baptist Convention USA, “Community Servant of the Year Award” Perry Publishing Broadcasting, NAACP Service Award, among others.
